Trademark renewal is the filing of Form TM-R with the Trade Marks Registry to extend a registered trademark's protection for a further ten years — permissible up to one year before expiry, with a surcharge window of six months after expiry and a final restoration window of up to one year, beyond which the mark is removed from the register. The lifecycle is a sequence of narrowing windows, and each one you let pass makes recovery costlier and less certain.
Those windows run in order: an early window in the year before expiry when you renew cleanly; the expiry date itself; a six-month grace window where renewal is still possible with a surcharge; a restoration window up to a year from expiry; and then removal. Crucially, the Registry's own reminder is not something to rely on — notices are missed, sent to outdated agents, or never arrive — so the safe approach is to treat your own calendar, not the Registry's, as the source of truth.
For owners of more than one mark, renewal is a portfolio discipline rather than a one-off task. A business with several marks across several classes will have staggered expiry dates, and a portfolio is only as protected as its weakest, most-overlooked filing. We track every date across the portfolio so no single mark slips through while attention is on the others.

Renewal is rarely top of mind until a date looms. These are the moments we step in.

A missed renewal does not just pause your protection — it can hand your brand to someone else. Here is what is actually at stake.
Once the surcharge and restoration windows close, the mark is struck from the register. Your statutory rights end, and the name that anchored your business for a decade becomes legally available to the public again — the most expensive outcome of an avoidable missed date.
The ® symbol may only be used for a mark that is on the register. Continuing to display it after removal is itself a misrepresentation, exposing you to legal risk on top of losing the protection the symbol was meant to signal — a double penalty for inaction.
Because India leans first-to-file, the instant your mark leaves the register a competitor or squatter can apply for it. They inherit the goodwill you built, and you are left negotiating, opposing, or rebranding to recover a name that was recently and securely yours.
Letting a mark lapse and applying afresh is not a shortcut back — it sends you through examination, fresh objections, journal publication and the opposition window all over again, costing months or years and the priority of your original filing date.
Five steps that turn a looming expiry into a clean ten-year extension — and a standing service so it never looms again.
We pull the current register entry, confirm the exact expiry date and proprietor on record, and identify which window you are in — early, surcharge, or restoration.
We prepare Form TM-R with the right government fee for your situation — timely renewal, renewal with surcharge, or restoration — across every class on the registration.
We file the renewal and track it through the Registry, following up on any query so the extension is confirmed without you having to chase the portal.
We confirm the renewal on the register and deliver the renewed certificate, so you have documented proof that protection continues for the next ten years.
We diarise the next renewal date — and, for portfolios, every mark's date — as a standing service, so the following cycle is handled before it ever becomes urgent.
If your business has been restructured since registration, the proprietor on record may no longer match your current entity. We verify the proprietor record first and handle any assignment or change of name, so the renewal is valid and not defective.
A clear starting price to renew your mark for another 10 years. Government fee per class is billed separately.

Extra work (surcharge, restoration, or proprietor updates) is charged based on your case.
A renewal can be missed, defective, or filed too late. Here is how we engineer each failure out.
The official reminder never arrived or went to an old agent, and the mark quietly lapsed.
We run our own 10-year renewal calendar so your dates never depend on the Registry's notices.
After a business restructure, renewing in the old entity's name leaves the renewal defective.
We verify the proprietor record first and correct ownership before filing.
With staggered dates across many marks, a single overlooked expiry lapses the weakest link.
We docket the entire portfolio so every mark is renewed on its own schedule.
Past the one-year restoration window the mark is gone, and the name may already be reopened.
We give an honest re-filing strategy with priority and search advice to recover the position.
Clear answers on when to renew, fees, missed expiry, the surcharge and restoration windows, re-examination, lapsed-mark squatting, and multi-class renewal.
We check your status, file the right TM-R, and calendar the next decade — so your ® stays alive without you ever watching the clock.
